How can i file my renter rebate on my taxes
To qualify for the Renter’s Property Tax Refund:
- You are a Minnesota resident or spent more than 183 days in the state
- You cannot be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s tax return
- Your household income for 2020 was less than $62,960
You can paper-file your M1PR when you prepare your Minnesota taxes in TurboTax:
- Login to your account.
- Select State Taxes
- Select Continue next to Minnesota
- Continue to the screen Other Forms You May Need screen (towards the end of the interview, past the estimated taxes and extension topics). Check the first box and follow the onscreen instructions.
After the State Elections Campaign Fund and Nongame Wildlife Fund screens, you'll come to the Filing instructions screen. Select Print Form M1PR and mail the printout by August 15 to:
