Mutual of Omaha dental insurance provides direct coverage of dental costs, up to the annual maximum benefit with no waiting period for services. Our dental savings plan provides discounts for most dental services including cosmetic services and has no limits on use and no waiting. Dental coverage is typically split into three categories: preventive services, basic services and major services. Mutual of Omaha's dental insurance policies cover 100% of all preventive services, and offer different levels of coinsurance for basic and major services. There's no waiting period for major, basic or preventive services with Mutual of Omaha dental insurance. This includes immediate coverage for cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, dentures, emergency treatment and more.
No. There is no waiting, no age restriction and no limits on use for our dental savings plan.
While Mutual of Omaha does not currently offer family dental insurance, our dental savings plan offers a member and family membership option in addition to plans for individual members only and members plus one.
With a dental insurance policy, you always have the option to see the dentist of your choice. Dentists in our network offer dental services at negotiated rates. That means your out-of-pocket costs will be lower with an in-network dentist. Dentists outside our network do not provide services at negotiated rates. That means your out-of-pocket costs may be greater. Find an in-network dentist for dental insurance.
With the dental savings plan, you may go to the dental provider of your choice. However, you only receive a discount by going to a dentist in the network of preferred providers. Find a participating dentist for the dental savings plan.

This plan does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under M.G.L. c.111M and 956 CMR 5.00. This plan is not a Qualified Health Plan under the Affordable Care Act. The range of discounts will vary depending on the type of provider and service. The plan does not pay providers directly. Plan members must pay for all services but will receive a discount from participating providers. You may cancel within the first 30 days after effective date or receipt of membership materials (whichever is later) and receive a full refund.
